Far from the madding crowd

Movie based on Thomas Hardy's novel, with a good acting of Carey Mulligan, her wonderful costumes and breathtaking landscapes.

Ten blog wziął swoją nazwę od poetyckich książek, które zafascynowały mnie XIX wiekiem i początkami XX - nie jednak tym prawdziwym historycznie, ale raczej tym książkowym, filmowym - upiększonym i poetyckim. Nie zamierzam tu wiele pisać, jestem bowiem jeszcze zupełną amatorką jeśli chodzi o wiedzę na temat mody i obyczajów. Chcę tu stworzyć raczej kolekcję wrażeń i obrazów z lat 1800-1920.

It's my place for things that make me want to travel back to 19th century and the beginnings of 20th. But rather not that historically real, but this fictional, poetic, from movies and novels.

I won't be writing here a lot. I'm still just and amateur in a matter of history and customs. But I will collect images and words that may make us be somwhere in between 1800 and 1920.
